My Name is Heather Carson. Over the years as an adult I have run on and off, the highlight being Bronze medal at the New South Wales 10,000 metres track race, during my time in Australia. It was in Australia I completed my first fitness qualification to become a fitness instructor at a gym.
I qualified in the UK as a level 3 personal trainer. This in turn led to me gaining my level 3 in sports massage therapy, then a few years later my level 5 in soft tissue therapy.
I love my work. It feels good to help people with a mixture of manual therapy and remedial exercise!
I work in Shipston-on-Stour in the Stratford-upon-Avon District.
Soft tissue therapy involves a mixture of massage techniques, soft tissue release and corrective exercise to aid aches and pains due to posture/lifestyle, rehabilitating injuries and post operation recovery. Contrary to popular belief it shouldn’t necessarily hurt, it is all subjective! Going beyond ‘good pain’ is detrimental to the outcome!
Deep tissue massage works through deep layers of muscle and connective tissue using firm strokes. It helps relieve aches linked to poor posture or lifestyle, alleviates stress and tension, and supports recovery from physical strain. Despite its intensity, discomfort should never exceed what feels right—effectiveness doesn’t depend on pain!
A relaxing treatment on the upper back, neck, arms, head and face. The mixture of stimulation followed by smoothing strokes stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, the 'rest and digest' system leaving a feeling of calmness in both the brain and the body.
Modern life can be very stressful and sometimes it might feel that you are carrying the weight of the world on your back. We work longer hours and get little rest. A gentle treatment to relax mind and body. Leave feeling refreshed and pampered! ‘Me’ time well spent!
Hot Stone Massage combines the soothing power of heat with gentle massage techniques to provide a deeply relaxing and therapeutic experience. Heated basalt stones—known for their smooth texture and excellent heat retention—are placed strategically on the body and used during the massage to warm the soft tissues and penetrate deep into muscles. This process helps boost circulation, flush out toxins, and release areas of tension without the need for intense pressure. The calming warmth of the stones not only relaxes the body physically but also settles the nervous system, promoting a profound sense of comfort and tranquility. Ideal for those seeking stress relief or to soothe tight, fatigued muscles, this treatment leaves you grounded, refreshed, and rebalanced—mind, body, and soul.
Tailored for expecting mothers, this massage relieves aches in key areas like the back and hips, and boosts circulation while reducing swelling. It soothes both mind and body and supports prenatal wellness—gently, and with care.
Oncology massage can actually optimise your body's ability to absorb drugs given during treatment. By working to improve the tissues, we can create a more hospitable environment for those critical medications. Any surgeries will also be taken into account for treatment.
The Acuregan Method Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture offers a distinctive approach to revitalising skin and wellbeing. It begins with a tongue diagnosis and a tailored consultation to develop a personalised plan using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture—covering body points, facial zones, and auricular (ear) regions. Clients undergo six weekly 2-hour sessions that gradually build in intensity, with one session featuring microneedling for enhanced results. Carefully selected skincare products and masks from Acuregan complement the treatment, supporting a radiant and refreshed appearance.
The Danielle Collins Face Yoga Method is a holistic, non-invasive treatment designed to improve skin health through targeted facial exercises and massage techniques. These movements activate key facial muscles, stimulate circulation, and enhance skin tone, resulting in a natural, lifted glow. The method is particularly effective in promoting collagen production and reducing the appearance of fine lines and tension. Clients can select personalised online or in-person one-to-one sessions tailored to their needs, with a supportive assisted option available for those with limited shoulder mobility.
